LifeLearn’s core values include a commitment to community. We believe that by supporting and investing in people, we can help affect purposeful and positive change, and that by leading through example to inspire excellence in business (and life), we can help create a more sustainable planet and society. Here are a few of the ways we’ve shown (and continue to show) our commitment to community.
Our Community
Big Bike Ride Team
The LifeLearn team raised over $2,400 in donations in 2019 as participants in the Heart & Stroke Foundation’s Big Bike fundraising initiative to support heart disease and stroke research.
Adopt-a-Family Program
LifeLearn supports and annually participates in the Adopt-a-Family Program, which matches donors with families in need in order to make the holidays shine brighter for them.
Dog Jog Team | OTS Dog Jog
Lifelearn supports and participates in the OTC Dog Jog, an annual event to raise money for the OVC Pet Trust, which funds the development of a wide range of new studies to help improve the health of pets through new diagnostic tests and treatments.
Food Drive
The Guelph Food Bank offers community food assistance to individuals and families through local food drives, including ongoing collection of food donation bins and food recovery from manufacturers and distributors.
Bronze Sponsor
The three-day event hosted over 900 athletes and 600 local volunteers. Athletes competed in basketball, swimming, powerlifting, rhythmic gymnastics and five- and ten-pin bowling competitions.
Santa Shuffle Team
LifeLearn participates in the Santa Shuffle, an annual 5K fun run and 1K elf walk to raise money for local Salvation Army initiatives to assist children and families, provide shelters for the homeless, and provide help for people struggling with addictions.
